PROF. OYEDEJI HEADS MLSCN ETHICS, RESEARCH, AND PUBLICATION COMMITTEE

It was a new era in the history of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) on the 10th October 2024 at the Council national reference laboratory for in vitro diagnostic product regulation located at 8, Harvey Road, Lagos when the Council Registrar, Prof Tosan Erhabor inaugurated the Ethics, Research and Publication committee.

The committee is headed by the Head of Department of Medical Laboratory Science, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, the Chairman of the Initiative of Medical Diagnostic Awareness (IMDA) and a guru in Research Ethics and Bioethics, Prof. Kolawole Solomon Oyedeji, who will serve as the Chairman while

The Registrar of MLSCN, Prof Tosan Erhabor, admonished the members of the committee to reciprocate the honour by putting in their best into the assignment. He gave them the terms of reference. He charged them to use their position to boost the quality and visibility of Councils regulatory activities in Nigeria, the West Africa subregion, and the global community.

The members were conducted round the ISO 17025: 2017 Accredited Public Health In-Vitro Diagnostics Control Laboratory (IVD) to see the state of the art project of the council by the Laboratory Manager, Offutalu Paulinus N.
