GMLD LAGOS ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS, ADEKOYA ABIMBOLA JULIUS AS THE NEW CHAIRMAN
The Guild of Medical Laboratory Directors (GMLD) Lagos elected the new Executive members during the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 19th January 2024 at Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Yaba Lagos for another two years tenure.
The AGM was an avenue to inform the members of the Association about the activities of the group for a particular period of time. The Chairman, Secretary, financial and Auditor’s reports were delivered to the house.

The President of GMLD, Prince (Dr) Elochuckwu Adibo was represented by his Vice President South West Mr Olumuyiwa Onaneye. He commended Lagos Branch for her efforts to raise the bar in term of activities and visible program of the Association.


Comrade Abioye Omoyemi, the Chairman of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Lagos Branch commended the last executive members of GMLD for the good work and for sustaining mutual understanding between GMLD and AMLSN Lagos. He prayed for more cooperation and collaboration between the two Associations in the near future.

Immediately after the AGM, the electoral Chairman, Mr Edet Obongama took over the process of the election. He introduced his Secretary, Mr Olatunbosun Anwo and Mr Clinton Nwankwo as a member.

The new Executive members were sworn in by the GMLD legal Adviser, Barr. Marcus Daudu.


Present at the occasion were James Onu, a leader of the Association, Anorue Chima J, immediate past Chairman, Igwe Akujuobi, immediate past Secretary, Mrs Olusanya from Alimosho Chapter, Mr Shobowale Gbenga from Ajegunle Chapter, Mrs Chinenye Echekwube from Festac Chapter and Mr Abere Sunday, the Assistant Secretary General of AMLSN Lagos.
