LAGOS STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECHNOLOGY (LASCOHET) REWARDS MEMBERS OF STAFF FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
The Management of the Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) Harvey Road Yaba celebrated the retired members and rewarded the other members of staff for outstanding performances. The event took place in the College Hall on the 15th December 2023.
The Head of Service (HOS) was ably represented by Mr Reuben Gbayi, a Director in the Post Service Department while the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Education was represented by Mrs Olubunmi Ibidapo Obe.
The acting Provost of the College, Mrs Oyeronke Uthman-Izobo in her welcome address acknowledged the presence of the Guests from the Ministry and also appreciated those who honoured the invitation despite the short notice.

She eulogized the contributions of the retired members of staff who were honoured and assured them that the College will not forget their labour in the development of the institution. She pleaded with them to always rise to the call of the College whenever they are called upon.
The address of the Head of Service delivered by Mr Gbayi was full of appreciation to the retirees for years of commitment , dedication and meritorious service to Lagos state.
He encouraged them that retirement is not the end of service, but the time of freedom, when they are expected to build for themselves.
He admonished them to cut down on excessive social activities , pay good attention to their health and manage their new economic status well
The retired officers that made the list were Mrs Rotimi Ayodele, Deputy Director and former Acting Provost, Mrs Olanipekun Victoria, Pharm Popoola Lanre Ishola, Mr. Latifu Nojim David, Mr Balogun Semako,
Mrs Lamuren Olabisi, Mr. Bello Wasiu, Mr. Adewusi Tajudeen
Mrs Omowole, Mrs Bodunrin Bolanle
and Mr. Liadi Yesiru
The acting Provost presented the five members of the academic staff and eight non academic staff for outstanding performances in the College. According to her, the selection was done democratically through the votes of both the Students and Lecturers.
The Awardees included Mr. Ogunlade Tobi, Department of Pharmacy Technician, Mrs Tijani Rofiat, Environmental Health Technology (EHT), Mrs Oyekan Thomas Mary, Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW), Engr. Kalu Joseph Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET), Mr Latifu N.D. Mortuary Technician, Mr. Elizabeth Temitayo Complementary Health, Dr. Macaulay Health Information Management (HIM)and Mrs Vivien Emecham Adekoya, department of Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
