LASCOHET Shines Again as 48 Students Qualify as Medical Laboratory Technicians

The Lagos State College of Health Technology (LASCOHET) Yaba has reaffirmed its leadership in healthcare workforce development as 48 students successfully qualified as Medical Laboratory Technicians in the September/October Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) Examination.

Out of 56 candidates who sat for the examination, 48 passed representing an impressive 85.7% success rate. This remarkable performance further strengthens LASCOHET’s reputation as a foremost institution committed to producing competent allied healthcare professionals capable of advancing medical laboratory service delivery across Nigeria.

The achievement underscores the steadfast support of the College Management under the headship and the Provost of the College, Prof. Raheem Olasupo Akewushola and the dedication of the academic and non-academic staff, whose commitment to excellence and professional mentorship continues to nurture highly skilled graduates.

The Provost of the College expressed his profound appreciation to the Governor of the State, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Commissioner of Tertiary Education, Hon. Tolani Sule and the Registrar of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) for creating the enabling environment for making this feat achievable.

The Dean of the Medical Laboratory Technician department, Mrs Adekoya Vivien Emecham and the entire management of the College expressed sincere appreciation to all who contributed to this outstanding success story.
