KABIAWU WINS AMLSN LAGOS ELECTION

The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN), Lagos State Branch, has elected new officers to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years. The election took place at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos.

The Electoral Committee, led by Mrs. Okunola Oluwatoyin Temitope and Mr. Akintibu Siyanbade, announced the following results:

Chairman: Kabiawu Gbolahan – 305 votes, defeating Mrs. Obiageri Catherine who secured 55 votes.
Vice Chairman: Dr. Uba Benjamin – 349 votes.
Secretary General: Mrs. Morounke Mannie-Udoh – 279 votes, ahead of Mr. Abere Sunday with 78 votes.
Assistant Secretary General: Patrick Asuquo Otu – 343 votes.
Welfare Officer/Social Director: Coker Omotayo Toyin – 340 votes.
Publicity Secretary: Adeleke Olusegun Olaoluwa – 345 votes.
Financial Secretary: Olubunmi Salami – 357 votes.
State Treasurer: Olusanya Oluwakemi – 351 votes.
State Auditor: Thaddeus Umunna – 343 votes.

Observers described the election as transparent, orderly, and free of irregularities.
